Shreddies Illustrated - Agadir

Yesterday (here) I looked at some adverts from the original Eagle comic which featured some adverts for a Shreddies comic that I'd never come across. Anyway, a little googling later and I've found a copy of it - thanks to this website which is all about free gifts from cereal packets.

I've looked previously at Shreddieboy comic adventures illustrated by Don Lawrence (here), Ron Embleton (here) and Frank Langford (here)

Nick posts on youtube (here)so why not check out some of his vides about cereal packet collectables?

Anyway, here's issue "1"

Spider & Steel Claw reprints announced!

Dropping through people's letterboxes from today is the Smash! special...
It's US comic sized (rather than, say, over-sized like holiday specials used to be) and looks to have a lot of great strips, however my eye was mainly caught by this advert...

...it's the advert people have been waiting a long time for - finally some Steel Claw and Spider reprint volumes from The Treasury of British comics - roll on February 2021!

ABC fim review - the battle of Quitman creek

b). May 1952 is here

c). June 1952 is here
d). July 1952 is here
e). August 1952 is here
f). September 1952 is here
g). October 1952 is here
h). November 1952 is here
i). December 1952 is here
j). March-May 1953 is here

The Bradshaws...an' all that #2

London Editions are perhaps best known as publishers of comics that tied in with particular brands. I've looked (here) at some of their comics (Count Duckula; Centurions; Dreamstone).

The Bradshaws...an' all that has a website here where you can buy associated merchandise (but not this comic it must be said).

Wikipedia has this to say on the subject of The Bradshaws

The Bradshaws is a fictional family created and voiced by the comedian and musician Buzz Hawkins. The family was created for The Gary Davies Show with Gary Davies on Piccadilly Radio in 1983 when Hawkins wrote a poem about a family's day trip to Blackpool. This soon developed into a series. In 1986, Hawkins was made producer of The Phil Wood Show, on which he performed more Bradshaws material.

Hawkins would go on to sell cassettes of his Bradshaws episodes, which he still does to this day, as well as doing stand-up, acting and more. The Bradshaws series has been re-released as a 25 volume C.D. collection. The series has gained great popularity in the North and abroad. It has been said that some people still ask who the voice actors are even though all the characters are voiced by Hawkins.
Anyway, without further ado here it is - art is by John Geering, scripts by Mike Butcher and Brian M. Clarke

I looked at issue 1 here

This is issue 2 (of 2)
