Brit Comics Art - latest pieces

Just some highlights from the recent update to the BritComicsArt website (which can be found here - I suggest subscribing to their e-mail updates too)...

A Brian Bolland piece from his early work on Powerman comic in the 1970s. This was £300 I think.

A Cam Kennedy Fighting Mann page from Battle issue #295 - yours for £500

A Robin Smith cover for 2000AD - yours for £3,000

These 3 cover roughs were (I think!) £300 each

Glasgow Comic Art Convention - 1991

I've looked before (here) at the 1990s incarnation of the Glasgow Comic Art Convention (GCAC) that ran from 1990-5. I've been collecting the convention programmes for a long time and this was the final one I needed! I was very pleased to pick this up recently and I'm highlighting just some of the interior art. Good luck tracking down your own copy

Glasgow comic art convention 1991, Dan Dare (& Digby) by David Pugh

Glasgow comic art convention 1991, DR & Quinch by Alan Davis

and here's a complete list of artists who created art for the souvenir programme

Eric Parker - miscellaneous work, part 5 (of 23)

I've recently begun a lengthy series of blog posts all about renowned illustrator Eric Parker (check out his Wikipedia entry here) who had a 50 year (!) career as a comic illustrator.

And now we turn our attention to a final (albeit large selection of his work). Next up is his work on "old soldiers". These are a variety of sizes - from the very small to the quite large.
