Forbidden Planet have announced a signing with Dan Boultwood, Chris Wildgoose and George Mann on Wednesday 12th September at 6pm

The 3 of them are the collaborators on the new comic title 'Newbury & Hobbes' - full details are here but are reproduced below anyway...

Writer George Mann (Dark Souls, Doctor Who, Warhammer 40,000) brings his steampunk mystery novels to comics for their 10th anniversary, alongside Dan Boultwood (It Came!, The Phoenix). 

Whether dismantling rogue automata, uncovering plots against The Crown, or putting down infestations of zombies - it’s all in a day’s work for Newbury & Hobbes!

The story in The Undying follow after the events in the latest Newbury & Hobbes novel, The Revenant Express, due in February 2019 - but can be read as a standalone story.

Every issue also comes with a brand-new Newbury & Hobbes prose short, written by George Mann!

Porcelain signing at Gosh tonight

The Gosh facebook page here has just announced a signing by the creatives behind Porcelain, as it says on the website...

The creative team behind the fantastical, gothic fairytale Porcelain, Benjamin Read and Chris Wildgoose will be joining us for a signing on Thursday the 30th of November, 6-7pm!

Porcelain: Ivory Tower, number three in the much loved series (out right now from Improper Books!), continues to explore the themes of consciousness, self-determination and the corruption of power in a beautifully illustrated and tightly plotted journey through a fully realised and troubled world. Mixing gothic horror, sci-fi, a fairy tale sensibility and an epic sense of scale we're certain the Porcelain series is a future classic of young adult fiction so we're thrilled to have the creators with us!

What I've bought recently (part 3)

Final (charity shop) purchases...I've heard great stuff about Gary Spencer Millidge's work over the years but never read any of it, so these 2 collected volumes (of 3) have gone straight into my reading pile.

Benjamin Read & Chris Wildgoose have created an amazing world in "Porcelain" - this is the second volume and I picked this up in exactly the same shop where I bought volume 1 a few months ago (this time they had the first volume and this one for sale). More details can be found here.
