Tank Girl - test cover

Here's a rare piece of Tank Girl themed merch that I spotted for sale on ebay the other day. The description said "Possibly 5 printed for a convention, never sold" this was an Alternate Test Cover Book 1 Anniversary Edition Signed. Rare doesn't even begin to cover it!

UPDATED: major museum publications

As ever with blog posts sometime you've just got to start somewhere. So today I want to start compiling a list of books / exhibitions about comics / cartoons / caricaturing that have been held by major museums and galleries.

Now updated with these two Tintin items. First up is 'The adventures of Tintin at sea' - the official book of the National Maritime Museum's [2004] exhibition.

There is also this (bi-lingual) guide to the exhibition.

There's also this British Library exhibition catalogue (from 2014). Cover art by Jamie Hewlett.

Now updated with this catalogue from the National Portrait Gallery's 1976 exhibition of cartoons from Vanity Fair.

I'll start the ball rolling with this publication by the V&A museum. It's a catalogue of a collection of prints in the possession of the Department of Prints and Drawings of the Victoria and Albert Museum

UPDATED: Tank Girl - manga (1995/6)

I only recently became aware of this short-lived (only 8 issues) Tank Girl comic from 1995/6. This is a large comic (so British sized rather than US comic sized) with mainly Tank Girl reprints - what a surprise. I've acquired issue 1 so far and I'll be on the look out for the other issues.

A1 (1992) by Atomeka & Epic

A couple of recent purchases (and the death of Garry Leach) has spurred me on to look at Atomeka Press. A look at the Grand Comics database (here) is helpful (thanks for the images!) but incomplete. So, I thought I'd try and rustle up my own complete (?) list of Atomeka publications.
