This is from a Catawiki auction of a couple of months ago of an unpublished Geoff Campion strip for some sort of rather risqué (1970s) publication. It sold for 550 euros.

The Valiant book of mystery and magic, 1976

On my Summer holiday I finally acquired a copy of 'The Valiant book of mystery & magic, 1976'. I'd come across this on ebay before and had high hopes for the content but my efforts to acquire a copy had been thwarted as the book was often priced out of my price rage. Grrr.

Anyway, a copy finally acquired and I was delighted to see that the annual has full author / illustrator credits throughout - result! So here's what you can look for

The Worm - part 2

For a long time I've seen copies of The Worm whenever I've been to the Cartoon Museum, but I've only recently picked up a copy - and what a treat it is!

Behind a cover by Simon Bisley there are 40+ full colour pages, with each pages featuring 6 frames of the story (usually you'll get 5-6 different artists on a page, some artists appear more than one in the book). And the talent involved in this effort to create the longest comic strip in the world.

I'll just give you a taster of the artists involved but I urge you to pick up a copy wherever you can...
