Private Eye cartoon library

Something a bit different today - cartoons from Private Eye. There are plenty of books of cartoon from the Eye out there but I thought I'd just highlight their cartoon library series. It lasted at least 9 volumes and I'm just missing an image for volume 1 - can you help?

UPDATED: Simon Harrison art in various places

Listening to the "Mega City Book Club" podcast this week about the art of Simon Harrison inspired me to go and see what of his non-2000AD comics I'd acquired over the years. The following is my list of that work but I'm sure there's more out there...

Update: I've just realised that Simon's work also appears in a few of the old UKCAC convention booklets. I've picked this one out in particular (with its cover art by John Bolton)...

...because it features this Shuk & Doode illustration which should be of interest to anyone who (like me) has recently purchased (here) the Shuk & Doode collection

Clive Barker's 'Hellbreed' - Marvel UK

Michael Carroll's timeline of Marvel UK comics (here) has an array of interestingly short-lived comics on that I thought I should create cover galleries for them. Sometimes this is easier said than done but let's look at the 3 issue Clive Barker's Hellbreed comic from 1995.

Clive Barker's 'Hellbreed' - issue #1, May 1995, £1.95

Clive Barker's 'Hellbreed' - issue #2, June 1995, £1.95

there's a glimpse of issue #3 in the above image so I know it exists but I'd love a better image - can you help?

Luther Arkwright at the Cartoon Museum - part 6

It's recently closed at the Cartoon Museum but here's the final part of my look at the recent Bryan Talbot’s Luther Arkwright: 50 years of a British comics legend

Fizz comic

An oddity to me this one - I'd love to know more about it. Interestingly it describes itself as a "comic for teenagers" so I wonder of it's trying to position itself as a stepping stone from 'traditional' humour comics (for kids) but isn't quite Viz. I'm guessing short-lived mid-90s comic (when all those Viz clone comics were in their heyday).

UPDATED: Mike Noble prints

This is another of those "I wonder how many of this sort of thing there really are out there?" posts...in this case it's limited edition prints by Mike Noble.

I saw these images on eBay a while back and snagged them for posterity. So, the question is are there more prints out there that I should be aware of...

Thanks to the good folks on the TV CENTURY 21 and COUNTDOWN - Adventure in the 21st Century... Facebook page we can now add the following images to Mike's output
