UPDATED: The Broons calendars

Continuing my strange obsession with comics characters on calendars let's have a look at The Broons.

This one (1997) is the earliest one I can find...

The Broons calendar, 1997

Then there's a few years when there were clearly calendars produced (see below) but I just can't find decent images of them - let me know if you can point me in the right direction...

Some more images of late '90s calendars...

Marvel UK's 'Rugrats' - Mike McMahon (part 2)

A long time ago I read a brief overview of Mike McMahon's career in a comics convention programme which said of McMahon "...his left field but delightful take on both Sonic the Hedgehog and Rugrats are two further examples of the artist pushing the boundaries of expectation".

Hmmm, I thought, I didn't know he worked on Rugrats...so off I pop to Wikipedia (here) which reports that he...
produced two 6 page strips for the Marvel UK/Panini fully originated fortnightly comic Rugrats (he would have been commissioned to draw more, but the comic was cancelled)

Sadly no mention of which issues these strips appeared in. Anyway, I thought I'd collect Rugrats comic until I came across these two strips and I've finally done it!

Part one of his work in this comic was here

Mike's work appears in Rugrats #13 cover dated 15th January 1997. The credits are below for this particular issue...

So he provides the pencils for 2 strips, here's the second...

UPDATED: Marvel UK's 'Rugrats' comics

I've looked at all sort of Marvel (UK) comics on the blog just click on this link to check 'em all out but today it's a new title for me - yes it's Rugrats the comic. I'm unclear how long this actually lasted. I know it lasted at least 24 issues (see cover scan below) and issues were listed in Comics International up to #31 [in CI issue 94] but Comics International #95 has an issue listed but no issue number. So, issue 32 seems like the likeliest highest number that Rugrats could have reached but I'd be delighted to know for sure.

UPDATE: the letterer Gordon Robson has been in touch to say that issue 29 was (he believes) the final issue. I have therefore adjusted the listing below.
