I've looked recently (here to be precise) at the early small press appearance of Garen Ewing's The Rainbow Orchid. That post led to Mal Earl getting in touch and kindly sharing these scans from Imagineers magazine. This is volume 1, issue 3 (Winter/Spring 99) of the UK's #1 comic fanzine. I've not come across this before so my thanks to Mal for sharing this.
This marked the first appearance anywhere of The Rainbow Orchid - just 3 pages (and pages 2 & 3 were printed in the wrong order!) but from little acorns and all that. Good luck tracking this down!
