UPDATED: Blue Moon - 1999

Here's a title (from 1999) well worth looking out for - having said that it seems so only come up for sale rarely so you may well be waiting a while for issues to appear.

Anyway, the concept was a kids comic edited by Tim Quinn & Gillian Baverstock (Enid Blyton's eldest daughter) and looking at updating/continuing classic fairy tales. A dozen issues in total, here's all the details I have about all the various (very good!) creators involved...

Charlie Adlard art - (4)

So here it is then, Blue Moon, a fascinating title featuring art by some of Britain's top creators, including Charlie Adlard. I don't have the full run (I'm missing issue 1, 11 and 12) but you've seen all the Adlard art there is to see in the issues I own.


These are the 2 covers that Charlie Adlard drew.


We'll see more stuff from Blue Moon I'm sure.

Charlie Adlard comic adverts

I looked (here) at The comic book price guide update for 1992/3...

...and I spotted this ad in it...

...and I wondered if this piece was by Charlie Adlard...

...as you can see the signature is a bit indistinct...

But then I looked at the sister volume (for 1993/94) to see if that could help me in any way...

...and I spotted this advert - which is also for TimeZone comic shop - and this time the signature is much clearer and is clearly Charlie's. It also convinces me the piece from the 1992/3 is also by Charlie Adlard - albeit with a slightly whited out signature.
