Two pages of David Pugh's original artwork for Dan Dare are currently up for sale - the first one in particular is a beauty!
It's for sale here and is the cover to issue dated 18/11/89 [issue #400]. At the time of typing the current bid is £215 - I just love the reflection of the back of Dan's helmet in the visor of the blue suited spaceman. Dan's seeing a reflection in the reflection - very clever.
This is from David's early work on the strip when he was deliberately aping the 'classic' Dan Dare look
The 2nd page - the cover to the June 1993 (issue #498) is on offer here - bids start at £195 and, at the time of typing, no-one has placed a bid
