Just a quick shout-out for this lot in the latest ebay auction from phil-comics. I love this sort of ephemera and, given the bids so far, I know I'm not alone!
At the time of typing the winning bid is currently £113 - but I'm sure it'll go for more
Bidding ends of Sunday evening, good luck if you bid
A rarely seen membership card for the Captain Marvel JR Club of the 1950s. Folded, this measures approx 5 x 3.75 inches, so opened out it's approx 5 x 7.5 inches. Quite rigid cardboard printed on both sides. The rear cover has been coloured in paint or pen and there are several tiny ink dots to the corner. Light paint smudge to the edge. On the inside the membership number (891) is written in pen, as is the name "John". A few light pen lines and several what look like yellow crayon (possibly light paint) lines, between the letters of the alphabet. Slight spine edge rubbing.
Overall a GD example.
Boom! that sold for a lot more than even I thought it would...
