Dave Broughton bonanza

Just a shout-out for ace comics artist Dave Broughton who has two big things going on right now...
1). a 50% off sale on all his Shaman Kane books (1-12) - normally £60 now £30 + post and packaging. Offer includes Shaman Kane poster comic featuring A2 size poster art by 2000AD/Judge Dredd artist Ben Willsher.  Email here dbroughton@hotmail.co.uk to order

2). there's a website absolutely full of his original art  www.bigbuscomix.co.uk . It features hand drawn artwork featuring official Shaman Kane page art. Pages from work on 2000AD fanzines ZARJAZ and DOGBREATH. Plus lots of other well known comic book characters. Prices are below each image of the artwork and every sale will include a copy of the Shaman Kane poster comic or a Shaman Kane book at no extra cost while stocks last.

Here are just SOME of the pages that Dave currently has up for sale - prices to suit all budgets! All can be found here

UPDATED: Early Dan Cornwell work to collect

I'm updating my original post (below) with the addition of a quick look at a further early piece of work by Dan from 2014...
The book is paperback, slightly larger than A5, softback, full colour throughout and has probably 150 pages. Included in these 16 stories is a 5 page story illustrated by Dan...

First page of the strip - it was hard to scan! The character on the left-hand side of that bottom left panel looks particularly 'Cornwell-ian'
Copies are easily available on evilbay.

Following on from my post a couple of weeks ago (here) about my 'prog slog' dedicated to Dan 'Rok of the Reds' Cornwell's contributions to 2000AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine I thought a follow-up post was necessary.

So today I'm just going to highlight Dan's work outside of Rok / 2000AD / Judge Dredd megazine and instead focus on his early fanzine work instead....

A Lawless 2019 miscellany

This is the A5 20 page booklet that was free to all attendees - cover is by Mike Collins (channelling his inner Carlos)...

The inside back page has a long list of attendees (not all of whom finally made it) and space for signatures, so it was a lovely souvenir of the day to get as many signatures as possible...

David Lloyd was there promoting Aces Weekly (here) and also signing books and doing sketches, we chatted about Marvel UK's 'Nightraven' character so it seemed to make sense to ask for a sketch of that (rather then V, from V for Vendetta).

And here's a sculpture of the art droid himself, Carlos Ezquerra...
