Stan Lee book signing - 1975

A look, for posterity, at this recent excellent item sold by (always interesting auction house) Excalibur Auctions (here). The hammer price was £110.

It's a photo album commemorating the Stan Lee book signing for Captain Britain launch. It was held on the Charing Cross Road in October 1975.

The A5 brochure (which really was a single piece of A2 paper folded up) unfolded to produce a pair of A3 sized posters. Art by Kev walker.

The A5 sized, 32 page brochure for Comics 2002 is graced with a Frank Quitely cover. Yet again Kev Sutherland put together an absolutely massive event across Bristol with over 150 writers, artists, editors, publishers and the like

A recent sale on ebay caught my eye...yes, it was for a Marvel UK themed plastic bag! £22 the winning bid

The same seller also sold this collection of comic shop bags... £17 the winning bid this time
