Bestsellers magazine - Modesty Blaise - part 4

Modesty and Willie working together...

I guess this is what counts as a happy ending in a Modesty Blaise adventure...

Bestsellers magazine - Modesty Blaise - part 3

No messing here, feel the impact!
Pleasure before business for Willie here...
I love this image of Willie, it's from the start of chapter 16 and reads as follows "...Willie Garvin crouched in the inverted bell, his back braced against one curving side, his legs straddling the double hatch" - you can just feel how confined the space that Willie has to work in. Feels very reminiscent of Denis McLoughlin art.

Bestsellers magazine - Modesty Blaise - part 2

Now some further John M Burns art from Bestsellers magazine...
hmmm, shady Arab ahoy!
Not Willie and Modesty in bed (it has to be said)

Bestsellers magazine - Modesty Blaise - part 1

So here's a copy of Bestsellers magazine from 1983. The idea is simple, reprint a whole book but in a magazine format and with some interior art. The cover here is by Tom Chantrell and the interior art is all by John M. Burns.
Setting the scene and the key characters
This image is actually 'attached' to the prior image to give a landscape picture. I think the lovely lady will turn out to be associated with Willie Garvin rather than the chap who looks a bit like a waiter!
 Typical action shot from John

 More to come tomorrow!
