UPDATED: Moebius - Titan Books reprints (part 1)

A recent acquisition of a Moebius book pushed me to the internet to track down what other volumes there are in this series - subtitled 'The collections fantasies of Jean Giraud'.

I seem to recall they were advertised for years in Comics International as remaindered books - this lack of interest now means that the books seem to be very expensive - prices from £30 upwards. Yikes. Good luck getting hold of an affordable set.

Turns out there was also a volume published called "1/2". Published in 1991 by Graphitti Graphic Designs - some more details here

UPDATE (30th May 2026) for completeness I'm adding in further volumes to this set that weren't published by Titan Books (but were by Epic). So that's volumes 0,7,8,9

Here's a bit of London comics history for you..."Cash" a benefit comic for the London Cartoon Centre. As this is #1, I'm guessing either there were 2 more issues or there were 2 other one-off comics. Any information welcomed.

Moebius - Titan Books reprints (part 3)

Continuing from my previous post (here and here) concerning Moebius's work being reprinted by Titan books in the late 1980s - you get a lot of (just great) comics for your money in these volumes as they're pretty long, but they do seem pretty hard to get hold of, and pretty costly even when you do find them. The Panelhouse (1995/6)

Atomeka Press - A1 (original series)

A couple of recent purchases (and the death of Garry Leach) has spurred me on to look at Atomeka Press. A look at the Grand Comics database (here) is helpful (thanks for the images!) but incomplete. So, I thought I'd try and rustle up my own complete (?) list of Atomeka publications. I'm going to start with the (original) A1 title and then move onto other series. All of the below have great contributors and are well worth tracking down.

Lieutenant Blueberry in "Speakeasy" 1988

Following on from my post (here) about the Titan books reprint of the adventures of Lieutenant (Mike) Blueberry, here's another series of Blueberry reprints that you might be less familiar with.

Speakeasy - the self-styled Britain's no.1 comics newspaper - is a great reference point for comic collectors as it's full of interviews, articles and art by a great selection of comics creators.

For 8 issues in 1988 it ran full page reprints of the Blueberry comic strip - the 8 episodes are the start of the story Angel Face; they are the start of chapter 6 in Blueberry book 3 (Angel Face)
