UPDATED: Beano characters 'In flight fun' with Airtours

I'm always delighted / intrigued to spot advertisers using comics as a medium and I spotted these two comics on ebay recently (so apologies for the quality of some of the images). I'd not come across 'In flight fun' before so I don't know if it just features Beano characters in these 2 issues or even if there were any subsequent issues. Any help gladly received!

Updates are in red, below...

In flight fun (Airtours) - issue 1

In flight fun (Airtours) - issue 2

In flight fun (Airtours) - issue 3

I've now found (here) a copy of issue 4

Glasgow comic con is here
Kapow! con is here
British comic conventions, 1970-76 is here
British comic conventions, 1977-81 is here
A miscellany is here

But I wanted to look at one convention in a little more detail - and use this blog posting as somewhere to host any and all images I can find about 'Comics 101'. Comics 101 was held on March 19th, 20th and 21st 1976 at the Royal Mount Hotel in London.

The programme is A5 sized, 80 pages long and stuffed with art from a great selection of artists - many of whom are poorly represented in the other programmes I've looked at previously - mainly because they were working on (humour) strips in British comics that later convention organisers weren't interested in. Programme cover art is by Denis Gifford himself.

I'll get to a list of programme contributors shortly but I just wanted to also use this post as an ongoing reference piece for images, reviews etc. of Comics 101 that I come across in my researches.

First up, images c/o friend of the blog Chris Murray, is a copy of some advertising material for the con...

Robert Nixon - more boook covers

Some positive feedback the other day to my small gallery of Robert Nixon's work for Look-In magazine spin-off titles, so here's 3 more books that his artwork graced...

Look-In tie-in book - part 3

Robert Nixon's 3rd, and final, contribution to the series was this cover for 'Stewpot's holiday fun book' - for some reason this titles seems much harder to track down than the other 2 volumes. This is the only image of the cover I could track down.

The final volume of interest is this one...cover by Ron Embleton and interior art is by Harry Bishop, well worth looking out for.

Look-In tie-in book - part 2

Another wrap-around cover by British humour comics great Robert Nixon...as you can see I've acquired the most bashed about copy that I could find on Amazon :)

Look-In tie-in book - part 1

An unusual example of the work of British humour comics artist Robert Nixon - who I normally associate with strips such as Frankie Stein - providing lovely wrap-around cover art for the small (slightly smaller than A5) Look-In tie-in book, written by Denis Gifford. In fact Denis provided internal art along with comic strips by Trevor Metcalfe

Bank holiday reading sorted - part 3

And last but not least I present a rather battered copy (by which I mean the cover isn't attached to the rest of the summer special any more) of the 2nd (of) 8 Frankie Stein summer specials - this is 1976 edition.
Cover is by Robert 'Bob' Nixon but (and with apologies to him) the real reason I got it was for the Ken Reid strips inside.

You get 7 Ken Reid illustrated strips (most single page; some double page and one in colour (the back page)), here's a few examples to wet your appetite for all things Ken Reid...

Plus an adventure strip called Crabbe's Crusaders which was new to me - anyone able to enlighten me?
