Since it's the last day of the Frank Hampson exhibition at Bourne Hall museum (in Surrey) today I thought I'd look back at what a similar exhibition (at the same location) in 2001 looked like...
This was organised by the 'Eagle exhibition' that toured the country in the early 2000s thanks to the generosity of a few collectors. Here are some of my pictures of that exhibition
Mekon statue and rare merchandise
Frank Hampson commission with Digby saying "One fighting unit ready for duty sir!"
Rare art and merchandise
More rare art and merchandise
I think this was meant to be a recreation of Frank's studio in Epsom
The mocked up Eagle cover below was Keith Watson's job application for a job with Frank Hampson!
The Dapon (from the first Venus story) in this rare piece of Frank Hampson art
Dan Dare is (c) the Dan Dare Corporation
Eagle Exhibitions is (c) David Britton and Nicholas Hill
